Bucket List

A list of my non-scale goals and achievements. From being able to wear knee high boots to walking 100km.

Some are related to fitness and physical activities. Other are about overcoming the obstacles of everyday life. As time goes on hopefully the list of achievements will get longer.





 

Goals
  • Do a proper push up
  • Cycle over the Skye bridge
  • Do a proper headstand
  • Walk the West Highland Way
 Achievements
    • Walking over the Skye bridge without stopping to catch my breath.
      First time in a Kayak since I was 12 years old! 25th August 2017
    • Fitting into my favourite top again.
    • Holding a proper plank for 30 seconds.
    • Fitting into the coat my mum made me years ago.
    • Doing quad stretches without falling over.
    • No longer cringing at photos of myself.
    • Going kayaking. (25th August 2017) 
    • Walking up the stairs without getting out of breath. 
    • Fitting into my old swimming costume.
    • Tying a seatbelt on a plane without struggling. (24th September 2017)

    • No longer having to shop in the plus size section
    • Buying a pair of tights in a supermarket. (16th September 2017) 
    • Being able to walk and talk at the same time on a long walk. (21st October 2017)
    • Being able to walk and talk whilst walking up a steep road, and not get out of breath.
    • No longer afraid of sitting in chairs with arms in case I don’t fit.
    • No longer feeling like the biggest person in the room, or out of proportion with everyone else.
    • Wear a pair of knee high boots (14th November 2017)

    • Hold a 60 second plank (14th November 2017)
    • Feel confident enough to wear a dress or skirt above the knee. (16th November 2017)

    • Climbed my first proper hill, Beinn Tianabhaig. (7th January 2018)
          • Did my first snow walk! (21st January 2018)
          • Did my first long distance walk, 11 miles. (26th January 2018)
          • Went indoor rock climbing, on my birthday! (27th January 2018)

              • Found myself in the Cullin, up Corrie Lagain. (3rd March 2018)
              • Climbed my March hill in the dark! (14th March 2018)
              • New work t-shirt, size small! (15th March 2018)
              • Purchased my first pair of size 12 trousers! (22nd March 2018)
              • First proper long distance walk, 15 miles. (30th March 2018)
                Rock climbing on my birthday! 27th January 2018
              • Climbed my first Corbet! Little Wyvis. (7th April 2018)
              • Climbed my first Munro! Blàbheinn. (13th April 2018)
              • Completed my first 20+ mile walk. 21 miles! (27th April 2018)
              • Bought my first pair of proper full length wellies! (1st May 2018)
              • Climbed three Munros in one day! (6th May 2018)
              • I now fit into my mum's 70s Wrangler flares! (30th May 2018)
              • Walked 533 steps up the Cologne Cathedral tower without getting out of breath! (9th June 2018)
              • Completed my first 25+ mile walk. 27 miles from Cologne to Bonn (12th June 2018)
              • Completed the 100k London to Brighton continuous walking challenge (31st June 2018)
              • Climbed the two hills behind my house, Sgurr a' Chòinnich & Beinn na Caillich (Kyleakin) (14th October 2019)
